Every event of the campaign appears here in order, with the date it was played and its date in the story. The campaign is over, so these summaries keep no secrets.

Before the Ten

Development of Eldritch began in 2017, with a plan to tell one story with a clear ending over roughly twelve events.

The first run opened in 2018 with Event 0 at Wild Sky Ranch in Index, followed by Events 1 to 3 at Millersylvania State Park. The pandemic stopped it in 2020.

In 2021 the staff reset the campaign, revised the rules, and restarted the story. A relaunch set for October 2021 was postponed because of COVID-19, and a later date in April 2022 also fell through. The new Event I ran in July 2022.

In November 2024 the staff shortened the plan so that the story would finish in the fall of 2026. The new run ended with ten events.

Event I: The Beginning

The Day of Mist had revealed the Annwyn, and the King's expedition had already claimed its castles. A second band of settlers came through the mists to the old port of Tamris with no clear leader. They soon felt a dread in the woods, and some saw the wraith of Lady Grace Bannon walking the settlement.

The Crows, raiders led by a figure known only as the Old Badger, were already taking caravans. House Laurent tried to impose its authority on the new arrivals and met resistance.

Event II: The Wrath

The market moved to the remote village of Mystvale, where curses and rumors of witchcraft beset the settlers. An attack on one Laurent shipment killed many guards and a Cirque merchant named Eldreth. A year later her killer was still at large, and Rook of the Cirque was demanding justice at Spring Court.

House Laurent named Domitille of the Apotheca Burgomaster, with Ser Ake Dagson as her Sheriff. An Aurorym pilgrimage arrived in the same season, certain that the Annwyn would be the battleground for a coming darkness.

Event III: The Awakening

Witchcraft had gone from rumor to plague. Carran and Arcton shuttered their windows at night, Ironhaven all but closed its gates, and Lady Ludmilla Laurent was said to lie dying of a wasting illness. Mystvale stayed free of any major affliction, and rumor held that someone in the town was in league with the witches.

The Crows attacked the tavern openly during the market. At Dawnhaven, hungry and without leadership, the faithful branded themselves with the mark of the Dawnson.

Event IV: The Sacrifice

The Laurent delegation died of poison at the spring feast, Lord Silas Laurent among them. In the same hour House Oban struck Carran and Stag Hall with help from a traitor inside. The town burned nearly to the ground, and Lady Ludmilla and her cousin Julia were captured. House Laurent never recovered.

Lord Niall Oban then had the Crows pardoned and taken into the Innis army, which all but confirmed that the bandits had been working with the Obans.

A nethermancer led the risen dead against Mystvale in an attempt to complete a ritual. The town fought on the field while others went down into a forgotten tomb, and the ritual was broken at a terrible cost. The Auron Calico was among the fallen. In the darkest hour Lirit, the Lady of Death, came to the tavern with her priests and offered the gift of the dead to the living: the grave would refuse those who agreed to fight in her army.

This event closed Season One and took the game further than it had reached before the pandemic.

Event V: The Trial

Mystvale tried the Obans for the attack on Carran and found them guilty. The town could levy little true punishment, but Julia Laurent was released to House Falconer for a ransom of 100 gold, and the Obans agreed to pay restitution to the survivors.

Hammond the Talon revealed himself as Roderick Wolf, a son of King Giles I. He lost a duel to the champion of House Hale and was taken into custody.

Heroes laid the specter of Shireen to rest in the Tangle. A contingent of the Fae staged a mock feast that proved to be a riddle, and the town solved it. Doctor Volgrim animated a corpse before the town and vanished.

Event VI: The Tower

Explorers uncovered the Tower of Menethil and a scroll of shifting icons, and those who searched it learned the forging of auranium. Before the season was out, an explorer driven mad inside the Tower set its library alight, and a dark shard kept there got loose. A siege of corrupted beasts came out of the woods.

King Giles Bannon II came to the Annwyn and did not leave it. Simon Bannon, one of the King's own Vigils, cut him down on the road with a poisoned blade. The killing exposed a secret order among the men sworn to protect him, and the killer was never found.

Event VII: The Unraveling

With the King dead, the realm broke apart under four banners. Matriarch Thea and Lord Alion Cornwall held Carran for the Royalists, and Hawken Richter claimed the throne through his mother's line. At Goldleaf, Roderick Wolf was proclaimed Giles the Third, the Woodsworn King. In the south, Charles Bannon declared himself the Dragon King.

Their war reached Mystvale in the 10th moon. The Royalist garrison burned, a rot spread from the Richter grain stores, and famine and riots followed.

The five reliquaries were opened in a circle of ash, and five people of Mystvale swore the Nightwardens' oaths to keep the Rite of Aeons. Those who studied the Tower's scroll saw the Magi of three centuries before finish the Rite, and they learned that it had been sabotaged from its making. A new rite would be needed.

Event VIII: The Precipice

The winter brought hunger and desertion. The bearers of the shards worked a rite of nethermancy and raised Hyperion incomplete. The curate Cyrus, who had marched with the Dawnguard, was unmasked as Silas Laurent, believed dead since the spring feast of 765, and he escaped before he could be taken.

In the 4th moon the war came to the crossings of the Dread Run. Corveaux knights broke the Blackhammers at Carran, House Aragon turned on Charles Bannon in the middle of battle, and the Royalists beat Hammond's host at Mystvale.

That morning a sword had appeared in a stone near the town. The claimants met beside it at dusk, and those who tried to draw it failed. Isolde, a squire of House Corveaux, then drew Auranthis, named herself the daughter of Edryn Wolfsong, and was crowned King Leander.

That same night the Grand Cirque Obscura performed under a new patron. When the show ended, the people who had held the town together were gone from the audience. The dead of every army stood up from the field, the Nether Void came with them, and by dawn much of Mystvale lay in ruins.

Event IX: The Undercroft

The missing woke in a town that was not Mystvale, at the heart of the Crimson Vale. The tent of the Cirque had been a door into the realm of Obeah, whom the histories called the Oathbreaker. The town's people kept their trades by day and rose as the vampiric Eversworn at night.

A court tried Obeah's part in the failed Rite. The petitioners showed that Hyperion had broken the oath she was condemned for breaking, and the Magistrate acquitted her and struck the old record from the histories.

The Keepers gave up the five tombs of the last Rite, and the tombs were carried out of the Vale. Outside, six moons passed, and the real Mystvale fell quarter by quarter.

This was the first larp Camlann had hosted, and it was the first Eldritch event held in tents and without ready access to showers. It ran as five main storylines with no fixed order.

Event X: The End

By the 10th moon of 767 the forces of Oblivion had taken the Annwyn settlement by settlement. Harrowgate fell first, and Carran held longest. Lord Alion Cornwall was dead, and the Dawnguard had died with him. So had General Vasha Hardinger and her father, Lord Wilhelm.

In Mystvale the High Quarter and Market Cross were lost. Only the Nest still held, with the sick laid on the Chantry steps. King Leander was under siege at Songbird's Rest with the Coalition, the last host of every house, and Charles Bannon served her as Seneschal.

Four hosts surrounded the town: Craxen's Legion of Ruin, Xogos's Blighted, N'Glush's Unsworn, and Slototh's Black Apocrypha. Survivors said that Hammond's banner flew among the dead and that he now led Oblivion's armies. However the other fronts went, the last battle would be fought for the Nest.

This account comes from the prologue to Event X and stops where the prologue stops.
